Angers-Marce Flying Club - Cessna 150 accident

The Chief Pilot note

On 5 September 2002 at the beginning of afternoon, the Cessna 150 (FBTUI) crashed during a simulated engine failure after takeoff. The crew made up of the instructor and a student left fortunately unhurt. The FBTUI was strongly damaged and will not be repaired.
Nothing seems to explain this accident if it is not a whole of unfavourable conjectures during this exercise which is, let us point out it, a requirement in the training of the pilots and their skills reactualization to know to them to make, and which always constitutes a very delicate phase of flight.
It appears very unjust that this accident could concern a professional whise a strong strictness reputation and a particularly careful and serious pilot.
However, this event must recall us that whatever our experience could be, we all are vulnerable.
Have good flights.
